SPRING GROVE – Gloria M. (Wilt) Buss, 86 of Spring Grove, passed into her eternity on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at her home in Spring Grove, PA.  She was the wife of Richard E. Buss who she married 64 years ago on June 25, 1960.

Gloria was born December 13, 1937, in York County, PA and was the daughter of the late Charles F. Wilt, Sr., and Clara M. (Frye) Wilt.

She graduated in 1955 from New Cumberland High School in New Cumberland, PA.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Etters, PA, where she was a member of the Women’s Ministry.   She was employed by the New Cumberland High School as a secretary from 1953-1959.  Gloria enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, walking and was a wonderful homemaker where she made all the holidays memorable.    

Immediate family gathering will be Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the Hoke residence in Spring Grove, PA.

In addition to her husband, Gloria is survived by her daughters, Lori Oestreich and her husband, Arthur of Hoquiam WA, and Angela Hoke and her husband George of Spring Grove, and her son, Daniel Buss and his fiancé, Janet of Lewisberry; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Donna L. Archer of Mount Wolf, PA, and her brother, Charles F. Wilt, Jr. of Dover, PA.  She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katheran E.  Kopp, and her brother, Paul E. Wilt.

Her memorial service will begin at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Her burial will be private.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend James E.
