Gloria May Gembe
MANCHESTER – Gloria May (Detweiler) Gembe, 92 of Manchester, passed away, Friday, March 21, 2025, in Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York, PA. She was the wife of the late James S. Gembe who passed away on July 31, 1999.
Mrs. Gembe was born May 2, 1932, in York and was the daughter of the late Ruth (LeHigh) Detweiler.
Previously she was employed by Harvey’s Rental, Sears and Roebuck and did domestic cleaning.
Mrs. Gembe is survived by her sons, Robert M. Yeager of Manchester, PA, David Yeager and his wife, Marilyn and Rick Yeager of Etters, PA; her daughters, Kathy Heindel and her husband Rodney of Mansfield, PA, her stepdaughter, Nancy Walton and her husband Randy of Dover, PA, and Mary Lehman and her husband, Jim of VA; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, and her sister, Marjorie Rice of Dover, PA.
Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 31, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Her viewing will be from 10:00 to11:00 AM, Monday at the funeral Home. Her burial will be private in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover, PA. Officiating at her service will be Pastor John Worrall.
