H. Timothy Piester Obituary

Tim Piester, 66, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at his home in Mount Wolf, PA. Born on April 18, 1959, Tim built a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and a deep devotion to the people he loved.

Tim served as the Fleet Operations Director at Do It Outdoors in York, Pennsylvania, where he was known for his steady leadership, sharp technical mind, and unwavering commitment to his team. Prior to that, he worked as Technical Director, Support at The Newark Group. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Cardinal Stritch University, a milestone he was deeply proud of. He also attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1978 to 1980.

He was a member of the Hawks Club; Pleasureville American Legion Post # 799 and Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493 in Mount Wolf. Tim proudly served his country in the United States Navy .

Tim is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Deborah Piester. He is also survived by his children: Kegan Stover (USN) and her husband Phil Stover (USMC); Kyle Piester (USAF); Kristin Campos (USN) and her husband Bradley Campos (USN); and his step‑daughter Amanda Carlson.

He is survived as well by his brothers, Todd Piester (USA) and his wife Karen Piester, and John “Long” Nguyen and his wife Mai Nguyen.

Tim leaves behind his cherished grandchildren—Timothy Stover, Raylighn Stover, Riya Stover, Maggie Campos, and Tess Campos—as well as his step‑grandchildren Connor Alderson, Madelyn Grace Alderson, and Logan Alderson, each of whom brought him immeasurable pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold “Bud” Piester and Laura Moore Piester, and by his aunt and uncle, Louise Moore Jones and Bob Jones, and many other extended family members all of whom shaped his life in lasting ways.

Tim lived life with a quiet strength and a genuine appreciation for simple pleasures. He was a devoted lifelong Yankees fan, never happier than when he could catch a game and unwind with a cold beer at the Hawk’s Club alongside his friends. He loved cold‑weather hikes, the crisp air on his face, and the freedom of riding his street bike through the trails of York. At home he loved watching westerns and was an avid reader of sci-fi novels with George R.R. Martin & J.R R. Tolkien among his favorites. He was rarely without his loyal dogs, and loved to cook them a special breakfast on the weekends. He cherished his beloved dog, Semi, who slept by his side every night.

Those who knew Tim will remember his steady presence, contagious smile, his easy laugh, and the way he made everyone around him feel grounded and cared for. His legacy lives on in the family he loved fiercely and the countless lives he touched along the way.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
