Hector L. Burgos, Jr.

Hector Luis Burgos Jr. (Nunu), 42, passed away peacefully, on Sept 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family at his York, PA home.

Hector was born on October 30, 1980, in York, PA to his parents Anita (Richard Hoecke II) Snyder and Hector (Irma) Burgos. He was an admirable man who was loved by many. His selflessness and willingness to help others was one of his most notable characteristics. He loved motorcycles and was a self-taught mechanic. He used those skills to help many in need.

The beautiful memories of his life will be forever cherished by those closest to him; his six children, Jenessis (Marcos) Colon, Lindamarie Sotomayor, Destinee Burgos, Ceyonce Burgos, Iyonna Burgos, and Isabella Burgos; his grandchildren; Mellany Colon-Burgos, Ariadny Colon-Burgos, Xavian Colon-Burgos; his siblings Amee (Darnell) Patton, Richard Hoecke III, Mellissa (Tywan) Brison, Tanya Burgos, Michael Burgos, Enid Rivera and Fynesse Snyder, his brother-in-law Omar Shaw, and an abundance of family and friends who will continue to honor him and carry on his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Carmen Curet and Nelson Curet.

His memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  His visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend Kevin Brubaker.

Hector’s body is being donated to science as he wishes to help others suffering from cancer.
