Ida Jane Ensminger 

YORK – Ida Jane (Jennings) Ensminger, 92, passed away, Friday, July 18, 2025, at Inners Creek Nursing Home in Dallastown, PA.  She was the wife of the late Roy Leon Ensminger who passed away, January 13, 2009. 

Mrs. Ensminger was born March 23, 1933, in York Haven, PA and was the daughter of the late John and Ella (Freeman) Jennings.

She graduated in 1951 from Manchester Senior High School in Manchester, PA.  She was employed by Danskin in York for over 21 years before retiring.  She previously was employed by Simmons Juvenile Products as a seamstress.  In her spare time, Mrs. Ensminger enjoyed reading, baking, sewing, crocheting, quilting and other various activities at her church.  She would make handbags and dish scrubbies for her fellow residents.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester, PA. 

Mrs. Ensminger is survived by three grandchildren, Rebekah Robinson, Rachel Easter, and Aleta Gipson, and her four great grandchildren, Haley Robinson, Levi Hammers, Chloe Easter and Caleb Easter.  She was preceded in death by her daughters, Beth Ann Ensminger, Pattie Sue Ensminger, and her son, Roy Douglas Ensminger, her sister, Carol E. Martin and her brother, John F. Jennings. 

Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.  Her burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery in Manchester, PA.  Officiating at her service will be Pastor Woodrow Harrison.
