Jack E. Harrold

YORK - Jack E. Harrold, 72, of Jackson Twp., passed away at 1:47 AM, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Carol (Manspeaker) Harrold whom he married 32 years ago on July 28, 1984. Jack was born December 1, 1944 in Spring Grove and was the son of the late Harry and Lizzie (Boehler) Harrold. In 1962 he graduated from Susquehannock High School in Glen Rock. He was employed in Quality Control with York International for over 40 years before retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Spring Grove V.F.W. Post #5265. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Carol, Jack is survived by his son Chad Harrold and his wife Leah of Spring Grove; his daughter Denise Hinton and her husband Chris of Mount Wolf; 5 grandchildren, and his brother, Walton "Walt" Harrold of Orwigsburg, Pa. Jack was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Donald F. Harrold and Ethan Harrold. Services and burial for Jack will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
