James R. Knisley
MOUNT WOLF – James R. Knisley, 76, of Mount Wolf, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at his home in Mount Wolf. He was the companion of Barbara Abreght.
James was born September 18, 1945, in York and was the son of the late Richard and Virginia (Warner) Knisley.
He graduated in 1963 from Red Lion High School and was employed in road construction with Wagman Construction of York. He was a member of the Yorkanna Game and Gun Club. James proudly served his county in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1968.
In addition to his companion, Barbara, James is survived by his daughter, Barbie Knisley of Mount Wolf; two grandsons, Ryan and Cole and one great grandson, Oakley; his brothers, Ricky Herbst of West York and Lonnie Knisley of VA and his sister, Carol Homsy of Red Lion.
Funeral Services and burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
