James Leo McClain, II

YORK – James Leo McClain, II, 82 of York, PA passed away, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at York Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Linda L. (Snyder) McClain who passed away May 15, 2019.

James was born on June 20, 1943, in York, PA and was the son of the late James L. McClain and Elsie I. (Reachard) McClain.

He graduated in 1961 from North York Senior High School in North York, PA.  He retired from Print-O-Stat in York and previously was employed by Miltex in York, PA. He was a member of the Hawks Gunning Club in York.

James is survived by his son, Ronald L. McClain and his wife Kathy of York, his daughter, Peggy Bair and her husband Jim of York; seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son, Lynn J. McClain and his grandson Devin Bunn.

A celebration of life service for James will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
