James S. Pick

NEW CUMBERLAND – James S. Pick, 51, of New Cumberland, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at his home in New Cumberland, PA.  He was the husband of April Cole of New Cumberland.

James was born August 2, 1971, in York and was the son of the late Barry Sponseller and Patricia (Pick) (Sponseller) Wickard of Mechanicsburg, PA.

He graduated in 1990 from Northeastern High School in Manchester, PA.  He was a self-employed Contractor.   James proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Gulf War where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal, 3 Bronze Stars, Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge and the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal.

James is survived by his sons, Levi Pick, Kyle Weigel and Brandon Weigel all of New Cumberland; his daughters, Kathleen Hutson of York and Haley Pick of New Cumberland; his brother, Joe Sponseller of CA and his sister, April Sponseller of East Berlin, PA.

Services and burial for James will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
