James A. Richard
ETTERS – James A. Richard, 86 of Etters, passed away, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in the care of Residential Hospice. He was the husband of Judith E. (Kreiss) Richard whom he married 16 years ago on July 4, 2008.
James was born May 29, 1938, in Enosburg Falls, VT and was the son of the late Andre and Mary (Johnson) Richard.
He was a tour bus driver for Bailey Coach in Spring Grove, PA and F&S Transportation in Mount Wolf, PA. James was a pilot and owned his own plane and was also a pilot for a Lighthouse Ship called Nantucket in MA. He enjoyed showcasing Sundown, his horse, along with their carriage at various competitions. He was a member of New Cumberland, V.F.W. Post # 7415 and St. Andrews Episcopal Church in York, PA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by two sons, Michael Richard and Kenny Richard; his daughters, Tricia Sweeney and Amanda Lee; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and his brothers, David Richard and Raymond Richard. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Richard.
A graveside service will begin at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Fort Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA. Officiating at his service will be Chaplin Kathy Underwood from Residential Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
