Janet Louise Becker

DOVER – Janet Louise (Heilman) Becker 91, of Dover, passed away, Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in York.  She was the wife of the late William S. Becker who passed away on July 21, 1990.

Mrs. Becker was born October 9, 1932, in Starview, East Manchester Township, York County, PA and was the daughter of the late Emory and Mary (Gardner) Heilman.

She graduated in 1949 from North York High School in North York, PA.  She was employed as a receptionist and Secretary for Teledyne McKay in York,and was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville. 

Mrs. Becker is survived by her daughters, Judith Ann Windhausen, and her husband Daniel, and Joyce E. Chronister both of Dover and Jeanne Louise Becker Walton and her husband Cecil of York; Her sons, Michael Becker and his wife Sharon of York, and William S. Becker of Dover; 6 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, David Becker, her sister, Norma Himes and her brothers, Harold, Heilman, Charles Heilman, and Robert Heilman, Sr.

Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 22, 2024, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Her viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Friday at the funeral home.  Her burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover.  Officiating at the service will be her pastor Reverend Richard L. Bowers.
