Janet L. (Mohr) (Leiphart) Harman

YORK – Janet L. (Mohr) (Leiphart) Harman, 99, of York, passed away, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Celebration Villa of York.  She was the wife of the late Clair C. Leiphart and H. Paul Harman.

Janet was born November 16, 1926, in Saginaw, PA and was the daughter of the late Charles and Nettie (Cunningham) Mohr.

She graduated in 1944 from Manchester Senior High School in Manchester, PA.  She was a telephone operator and receptionist for 32 years before retiring in 1989 by St. Regis and Georgia Pacific in Mount Wolf.  She was a former member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493, former charter member of the Susquehanna Lioness Club, former member of the Eastern Star and Shriners and a former member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mount Wolf.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in York, PA.

Janet is survived by her sons, Clair Leiphart, Jr. of York, Jeffrey Leiphart of York; her stepson, Steven Harman of Wrightsville, PA, her stepdaughter, Linda McIntyre of York; eight step-grandchildren, thirteen step-great grandchildren, and her sister, Donna Mae Ream of Wrightsville, PA.  She was preceded in death by her stepson, Robert Harman, her sisters, Marie Brenner and Ruth Rossman, and her brothers, Charles Mohr, Earl Mohr and Henry Mohr.

Her funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 3375 Druck Valley Road, York, PA.  Her viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Tuesday at the church.  Her burial will be private.  Officiating at her service will be her pastor, Reverend Rey Villarreal.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
