Janice I. (Haugh) Hykes

MOUNT WOLF – Janice I. (Haugh) Hykes, 90 of Mount Wolf, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, at Amoroso Wellness at York.  She was the wife of the late Harold E. Hykes  who passed away on September 23, 2021.

Janice was born on December 31, 1935, in East Manchester, PA and was the daughter of the late Stacey and Viola (Riedel) Haugh.

She graduated from Manchester High School in 1953 and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester, PA. Janice was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother with a special tenderness for babies; her nurturing spirit was felt by everyone who knew her.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Judith Zirkle and her husband Carson; her sons, David Hykes and his wife Gloria, Phillip Hykes and his wife Sharon, and Matthew Hykes and his wife Sheila; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James, John, and Eugene Haugh; and her sister, Dorothy Carpenter.

Her memorial service will begin at 12:00 PM, Monday, June 22, 2026, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will be private at Quickels Cemetery in York. Officiating at her service will be Troy Zirkle.
