DOVER – Joel Eric Harman, 60, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home in Dover after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was the husband of Roxanne (Rode) Harman who he married 36 years ago on October 27, 1984.

Joel was born August 9, 1960 in York and was the son of Dale and Beverly (Bruaw) Harman of York.

He graduated in 1978 from Central High School in York and in 1982 from York College of Pennsylvania with a degree in accounting.  He was employed by Freedom Equipment as an accountant.  He previously worked as an accountant with various other manufacturing companies.   Joel was a member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church in Pleasureville.

Joel enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.

In addition to his wife and parents, Joel is survived by his son, Tyler Harman and his wife Abby of York; his granddaughter, Emma Harman; his brother, Jeffrey Harman of Florida and his In-Laws, Stella and Richard Rode of Manchester.

Funeral services and burial will be private for Joel, however the service will be webcast at http://www.yourstreamlive.com/events/1722287   on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 beginning at 10:30 AM.  Viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Burial will be private in Manchester Union Cemetery in Manchester.  Officiating at the service will be his pastor Reverend Ross Judy.
