John S. Kann
LEWISBERRY – John Snyder Kann, 78, of Lewisberry, passed away, Friday, November 4, 2022, at his home in Lewisberry. He was the husband of Karen L. (Kennedy) Kann who he married 48 years ago on June 29, 1974.
John was born November 6, 1943, in York and was the son of the late Rufus and Gladys (Snyder) Kann.
He graduated in 1961 from Central York High School. He was employed by Spangler and Boyer Mechanical in York for over 10 years before retiring in 2008. He also owned American Trade Masters in York and was previously employed by C. J. Beshore and Sons, Inc. in York. He was a member of the Dillsburg, V.F.W. Post 6771; Dillsburg American Legion, Post 26; Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and Historical Steam Engines Association. John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, Karen, John is survived by his sons, Joshua Kann of Boiling Springs, PA and Johnathan Kann and his wife Rebecca of Boiling Springs, PA; three granddaughters, Lilly, Kira, and Kacey; his brother, James Kann, Sr. of York and his sister, Judith Swift of Seven Valleys.
Services and burial will be private at Fort Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery in Annville, Lebanon County, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
