DOVER- John H. Landis, 70, entered into rest peacefully at home on October 31, 2025. He was born on April 8, 1955 in Lancaster and was the son of the late Marvin and Mary (Eurich) Landis. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patrice (Micki) McCabe Landis; his daughter, Breanna; son, Michael; grandchildren, Lawton and Alexya McFadden; brothers, Marvin (Butch) and David; and sisters, Gina and Donna. He was preceded in death by his sister, Scheryl Hanson.
He grew up in Elizabethtown and graduated in 1973 from Elizabethtown Area High School. After over 36 years as a welder and the Lead Man of General Maintenance, he retired from Harley Davidson in 2009. During that time he also worked at Ferguson Welding, but he couldn't sit still and picked up several part time jobs over the years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting big whitetails and fishing. He loved riding his Harley and was a car enthusiast. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
A memorial service to celebrate John's life will begin at 6:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. His visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral home. His burial will be private. Officiating at his service will be Pastor Steven Livermore.
