YORK HAVEN – Joseph A. Burger, 84, of York Haven, passed away, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation in York.  He was the husband of Lois Sandra (Fishel) Burger whom he married 38 years ago on December 21, 1985.

Joseph was born July 3, 1939, in Goldsboro, PA and was the son of the late Raymond and Irene (Slaseman) Burger.

He was employed for over 30 years from Caterpillar in York before retiring.  Joseph proudly served his country in the United State Marine Corp.

In addition to his wife, Lois, Joseph is survived by his daughters, Christine Daugherty, and Barbara Burger; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; his brother, Ronald Burger, and daughter-in-law, Janet Burger.  He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Burger; one grandchild; his brothers, Harry Burger and Theodore Burger and his sisters, Nancy Sweitzer, Ann Fetrow, Mary Sunich, and Gerry Lauck.

Funeral Services and burial for Joseph will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
