Joseph E. Whitehead

MANCHESTER – Joseph E. Whitehead, 67, of Manchester, passed away at Autumn House East in York.

Joseph was born May 12, 1958, in Lehighton, Carbon County, PA and was the son of the late Edward and Lillian (Hawk) Whitehead.

He graduated in 1958 from Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester, PA.  Joe was employed by Allegany York Co in Manchester, PA for over 26 years before retiring in 2024.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mount Wolf, PA.   He was an avid horse lover and enjoyed spending his time taking care of them.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Dawn Schroll and Barbara Ahrens, both of Manchester, PA.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Whitehead.

His services and burial will be private with his family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
