Juliet M. Spangler

NORTH YORK – Juliet M. (Stonesifer) Spangler, 84, of North York, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Vicki Spangler.  She was the wife of the late Laverne Spangler who passed away on December 2, 2014.

Mrs. Spangler was born May 17, 1937, in York and was the daughter of the late Basil and Neda (Joseph) Stonesifer.

She graduated in 1955 from Manchester High School in York.  She was employed for over 23 years before retiring in 1992 with D. F. Stauffer Biscuit Company in York.

Mrs. Spangler is survived by her daughters, Sherry Beck and her husband Gary of Dover, Vicki Spangler of York; her sons, Robert Glassmyer of North York and Steve Spangler of York; 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and her sister, Mary Magee of Manchester.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Josephine Shirey; her granddaughter, Sereena Spangler, her sister, Francis Wisotzkey and her brothers, Vernell, Bill, John, Donald and Jim.

Her funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Viewing will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 2, and Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM both at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.  Officiating at the service will be Reverend Bill Shimmel.
