Kenneth J. Deitz

MANCHESTER – Kenneth John Deitz, 70, of Manchester, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, at UPMC Memorial in York.  He was the husband of Bonnie (Weaver) Deitz whom he married 50 years ago on February 6, 1971.

Kenneth was born October 1, 1951, in York and was the son of the late Robert and Fairy (Moul) Deitz.

He was employed since he was 17 years old for 44 years with Borg Warner, now Johnson Controls, before retiring in 2011.  He was a Mason, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, York Forest #30; active member of Amaranth, York-Gethsemane Commandery #21 Knights Templar and a Civil War Reenactor with the 3rd, PA Light Artillery Battery B Central PA Reenactors.  He was a member of Holy Infant Catholic Church in Manchester.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie, Kenneth is survived by his son, Jessiah Deitz and his wife Amanda of Manchester; his daughter, Tara Deitz of Manchester; 4 grandchildren; his brother, Lonnie Deitz of Dover and his sister, Linda Altland of Dover.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Deitz, Jr.

A celebration of life service for Kenneth will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
