Kenneth C. Heindel
YORK HAVEN - Kenneth C. Heindel, 97, of York Haven, formerly of Starview, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Manor Care Dallastown. He was the husband of the late Phyllis M. (Wilt) Heindel who passed away on May 15, 1993.
Kenneth was born November 26, 1923, in York and was the son of the late Charles and Mamie (Reever) Heindel.
He was employed as a carpenter for F. M. and P. W. Moyer Contractors for over 20 years before retiring in 1985. He was the last remaining charter member of the Starview Sportsmen’s Association, a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and was a past charter member of Forest Edge Hunting Camp. He was a member of Starview United Methodist Church in Starview. Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII
Kenneth is survived by his son, Kenneth C. Heindel, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Manchester; his daughters, Connie Graffius and her husband Dale of York, Joyce Dolan of York Haven and Wendy Stoak and her husband Harry of Manchester; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, Clair, Donald and Wayne and his sister, Helen Ashton.
His funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM, Monday, September 13, 2021, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 11:30 to 12:30 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Gary Zortman. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York.
