Lawrence E. Rodes, II
MANCHESTER – Lawrence E. Rodes, II, 74, of Manchester, passed away, Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home in Manchester. He was the husband of Arlene (Reimold) Rodes who he married 34 years ago on September 23, 1989.
Lawrence was born April 4, 1949, in York and was the son of the late Lawrence and Anna Mae (Miller) Rodes.
He graduated in 1967 from Northeastern High School in Manchester, Gettysburg College, and Yorktowne Business Institute. He was a former member of the Susquehanna Lions Club and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mount Wolf and St. Paul Lutheran Church in the village of Hametown.
In addition to his wife, Lawrence is survived by his son, Michael Creager, and his wife Jo of York; his daughters, Missy Myers and her husband Mike of Dover and Hope Lowe-Iddings and her wife, Jess of York; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his brothers, Darrell Rodes of Mount Wolf, Darren Rodes of York and Dwayne Rodes of York, and his sister, Janet Brown of York.
A graveside service will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 23, 2024, at Mount Rose Cemetery in York. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Katie Bratner Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf. Please meet at the entrance of the cemetery to be escorted to the graveside service
