Lenore E. Humphreys

MOUNT WOLF – Lenore E. (Parry) Humphreys, 92, of Mount Wolf, passed away, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.  She was the wife of the late James R. Humphreys who passed away on April 25, 1995.

Mrs. Humphreys was born November 1, 1930, in Kingston, Luzerne County, PA and was the daughter of the late David and Ethel (Covert) Parry.

She graduated in 1948 from Kingston High School in Kingston, PA.  She worked as a salesclerk at Weist’s Department Store in York.  She was a former member of York Gospel Center in York and is a member of the Church of the Open Door.

Mrs. Humphreys is survived by her daughters, Susan Stambaugh and her husband Charles of Mount Wolf, and Donna Klarsch and her husband Steven, of Eagles Mere, PA; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Justin, William; five great grandchildren, Loralei, Finleigh, James, Liam, and Piper, and her honorary great grandchildren, Harry, and Gregory.  She was preceded in death by her daughters, Jacqueline Humphreys and Pamela Humphreys; her granddaughter, Amanda; her sister, Jacqueline Parry and her brother, William Parry.

Her memorial service will begin at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 13, 2023, at the Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York, PA.  Burial will be private at Mount Rose Cemetery.  Officiating at the service will be her pastor, Reverend Don Heindel.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
