YORK – Lenore R. (Raffensberger) Largent, 95, of York, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at her home in York.  She was the wife of the late Clair W. Largent who passed away November 24, 2021.

Mrs. Largent was born April 30, 1928, in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of John and Kathryn (Ferguson) Raffensberger.

She graduated in 1946, from Lewistown High School and Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in 1950.  She was employed as a Teacher with Central School District in York and later employed by Eastern High School starting in 1969 for 17 years before retiring in 1986.  She was a member of the local and the National PSER and Yorkshire United Methodist Church in East York. 

One of Lenore's greatest joys was connecting with her birth family at age 77.

Mrs. Largent is survived by her daughter, Linda Wagner of Manchester; her sons, Bryan Largent of GA, and Todd Largent and his wife Karen of York, and one grandson, Cody Wagner.  She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Wagner and her brother, Donald Raffensberger.

Graveside services for Mrs. Largent will begin at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2023, at Union Cemetery, 17591 Great Cove Road, McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania 17233.  Officiating at her graveside service will be Reverend David Kominsky, from Yorkshire United Methodist Church in York.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
