MOUNT WOLF – Leo B. Kohr, 90, of Mount Wolf, passed away, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at his home in Mount Wolf, surrounded by his loving family. He was married to Ardell (Kauffman) Kohr who he married 66 years ago on February 4, 1956.

Leo was born December 6, 1931, in Mount Wolf and was the son of the late Jacob and Leah (Hoover) Kohr.

He graduated from Manchester High School in 1949. He was employed as the Produce Manager by Jordan’s Super thrift for 22 years before retiring in 1994. After retirement he worked for Wilmac as their parking lot attendant. He previously was employed by P. A. & S. Small in York. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mount Wolf. Leo proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife, Ardell, Leo is survived by his sons, Thomas Kohr and his wife Melissa of Mount Wolf, Kenneth Kohr, and his wife Deb of York; his daughters, Kathy Thompson and her husband Stephen of Mount Wolf, Susan Kohr of Mount Wolf and Julie Bricker and her husband Timothy of York; seven grandchildren, Kate Kelly and husband Dennis, Ryan Kohr, Chad Kohr and companion, Casie Sultzbaugh, Chelsea Mellor and husband David, Lindsey Kohr and companion, Nate Rose, Megan Kebede and husband, Grum, and Matthew Bricker 2 great grandchildren, Harper Kelly and Hailey Kelly, and his sister Lois Jordan of York.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jacob Kohr and Earl Kohr.

Leo’s funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 2, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery in Manchester. Officiating at his service will be Reverend Mark Zortman from Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mount Wolf and Chaplain Don Alspaugh from White Rose Hospice.
