YORK – Linda “Barn” Susan Grim, 76 of York, passed away, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late William A. Grim.
Linda was born on November 12, 1949, in Highmount, PA and was the daughter of the late Lois Wallick.
Linda is survived by her children: David Hall and his wife Trena of Dover, Jennifer Boczek and her husband David of York, Russell Hall and his companion Leigh Warner of Newport News, VA, and Jody Hall and her fiance Justin Thomas of York Haven. She is survived by stepchildren Billie Jo Scortino and Chad Grim; as well as nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by stepdaughter Sandy Golihew.
Linda did not have any siblings, but she grew up with many cousins. Darlene and Linda were born only a month apart and grew up doing everything together. They even lived together for the last several months and spent a great deal of time with their other cousins. Linda was always devoted to her family, focused on making memories and showing unconditional love.
She graduated in 1967 from Eastern York High School. She was in the printing industry having served in Printing, Prepress, and Bindery. She loved watching NASCAR and enjoyed the challenge of solving Crossword Puzzles.
Her funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Her visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Officiating at her service will be Reverend Lisa A. Hair. Her graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Mount Rose Cemetery in York, PA. Officiating at her graveside service will be Pastor Mark Zortman.
