Linda S. Urbanowicz

YORK – Linda S. (Bentivegna) Urbanowicz, 75, of York, passed away at Carolyn’s Hospice Residence in Harrisburg, PA.  She was the wife of the late Donald Urbanowicz who passed away, October 30, 2023.

Linda was born My 12, 1950 in Jersey City, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Hoffman) Bentivegna.

She graduated from Academy of St. Aloysius in Jersey City, New Jersey.  She spent her life taking care of her children and husband. In addition to being a mother and wife, Linda was a bookkeeper for a lumber company.

Linda loved to cook, shop and eat!  She enjoyed being with her family but missed our dad.  We are all at peace knowing they are together again.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Danielle Gourley and her husband Dan of Gettysburg, PA, Jamie Gorsegner and her husband Michael of York, PA, and her only son, John Urbanowicz and his wife, Janet of Red Bank, New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Max, Stella, Reese, Kaylee, Charlie, Avery, and Sebastian and her sisters, Doreen Matthews, Mary McGeary, and Donna Thomma, and her brother, John Bentivegna.  Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Lombarde.

Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 25, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her viewing will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.  Her burial will be private.  Officiating at her service will be Father St. Denis from St. Joseph Catholic Church in York, PA.

Immediately following the service, her children would like to invite you to Jamie’s house for a celebration of Linda’s life and luncheon.
