Lloyd L. Miller

YORK – Lloyd L. Miller, 81 of York, PA passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at his home in York, PA.  He was the husband of Scarlet A. (Horner) Miller whom he married 61 years ago on June 5, 1965.

Lloyd was born on September 4, 1944, in Newberry Township, York County, PA and was the son of the late Daniel and Theresa (Horvath) Miller.

He graduated from Northeastern Senior High School in 1962.  He was employed by MacSteel Company in York for over 40 years before his retirement in 2007.  He was a member of Starview Sportsmen’s Club in Mount Wolf, PA and the Vikings Athletic Club in York.  He was a former member of Union Lutheran Church in Saginaw prior to their merger.   He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his brother,  Stephen Miller of York, PA.  He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Druck and Theresa Brown; his brother, Daniel Miller;  niece, Bobi Jo Brown; and great nephew, Logan Glatfelter.

His memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM, Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  His visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.  His burial will be private.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend Mark Zortman from Otterbein Church in Mount Wolf, PA.  Military Honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
