Mary E. Steffee

MOUNT WOLF – Mary E. (King) Steffee, 91, formerly of Mount Wolf and York, passed away, Sunday, January 12, 2025, at The Gardens of West Shore in Camp Hill, PA.  She was the wife of the late George H. Steffee who passed away April 29, 1998.

Mary was born September 15, 1933, in York and was the daughter of the late Clark and Hattie (Rohrbaugh) King. 

She attended Manchester High School in Manchester, PA.  She was employed by Shiney Brite in Emigsville, PA. and Herculite.  She was a former member of Starview United Church of Christ in (Starview) Mount Wolf, PA. 

Mary is survived by her son, Lee G. Steffee of York, PA, her daughter, Christine Steffee of York, PA, one grandson, Scott Wise, four great grandchildren, Tyler, Kasey, Damon, and Zachary, and two great great grandchildren, Axel and Archey, and her brother, Carl King of Mountville, Lancaster County, PA.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Wise and her sister, Norma Kauffman.

Her service will begin at 12:00 PM, Monday, January 20, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her viewing will be from 10:00 to 12:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.  Her burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery in Manchester, PA.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend Cam Richesson from Dover United Church of Christ.
