YORK – Myrna Vesta Grove Bowers, 87, of York, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Normandie Ridge in York.  She was the wife of the late Ronald F. Bowers who passed away on September 21, 2013.

Mrs. Bowers was born March 18, 1937, in Red Lion, PA. and was the daughter of the late Sterling and Alice (Wise) Grove and her stepmother, the late Margaret Grove.

She graduated in 1955 from Red Lion High School in Red Lion, PA.  She was a Department Manager for Montgomery Wards in Maryland.  She was a member of the Mountain Club in Maryland, and Maryland Chapter of Volks Marching Club.

Mrs. Bowers is survived by her sisters-in-law, Vonetta Grove and Betty Grove, Phyllis Bowers, Arla Bowers, Joyce Bowers, and Sharon Krebs, brothers-in-law, Richard Bowers, Larry Bowers and Robert Krebs, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Milton Grove, Dwight Grove, brother-in-law Delmar Bowers and her Stepsister, Carla Gentzler.

Her service will begin at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Her burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.  Officiating at her service will be her brother-in-law, Reverend Richard L. Bowers.
