Nancy Lee Prokop
MOUNT WOLF – Nancy Lee (Shelly) Prokop, 63, of Mount Wolf, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, peacefully at her home after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. She is the wife of Jeffrey A. Prokop, the two were married July 10, 1992, and would have celebrated 30 years this July.
Nancy was born June 3, 1959, in Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late Carroll and Ruth (Busch) Shelly.
She graduated in 1978 from Central High School in York. As a homemaker, Nancy was devoted to her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and family. Nancy loved flower gardening, making crafts, flamingos, sea turtles and searching for seashells on the beach.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Jamie Herman and her husband Josh of York, Stacey Smith of York and Kayla Prokop of Mount Wolf; three grandchildren, Hayden, Kaylee and Briyana; a great grandson, Zaelyn; one grandson on the way Liam and also her dog Zoey.
A celebration of life service will begin at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Officiating at her service will be Reverend James E. Winter, Sr.
