YORK – Patricia “Patty” L. (Grace) Watson, 93, of York, passed away, Thursday, January 1, 2026, at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home.  She was the wife of the late Earl. H. Watson who passed away on March 11, 2014.

Patty was born September 20, 1932, in Altoona PA and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Florence (Paul) Grace.

She graduated in 1950 from William Penn Senior High School in York and later in 1953 from York Hospital School of Nursing as an RN.  She was employed as an RN by York Hospital.  She was a member of the York Post Card Club, and Colonial York Knitters Guild.  She was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church in York New Salem where she served with the Adult Sunday School, Outreach Committee and was a former member of the church council.

Patty is survived by her daughters, Christine Jacobs of Middleburg, PA, and Cynthia Watson of Vero Beach, FL; her sons, Gregory Watson of York, Gary Watson of Ocean Pines, MD, and Timothy Watson of York; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and her sister, Jean Eckman of York. Patty was preceded in death by her brothers, Allen Grace and Barry Grace.

Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 8, 2026, at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, 99 East George Street, York New Salem, PA.  Her viewing will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Thursday at the church.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend Aaron Cope.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
