Patty L. Knisely

YORK  - Patty L. (Chapple) Knisely, 91, of York, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a battle with pancreatic cancer, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.  She was the wife of Richard C. Knisely who she married 71 years ago on June 19, 1950.

Patty was born April 26, 1930, in Lewistown, PA and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Julia (Chapman) Chapple.

She graduated in 1947 from Yeagertown High School.  Patty was a devoted wife and mother.  She served as a Sunday School teacher and had a passion for missions and most of all for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her Godly influence and legacy is priceless.

In addition to her husband, Richard, Patty is survived by her daughter, Connie Sanders and her husband Randy of York; her son, Dan Knisely and his wife Peggy of York; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and her sisters, Sondra Woodling of Mifflintown and Sharon Bell of Mifflintown.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Knisely.

Funeral services for Patty will begin at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Quickel Cemetery in Conewago Township, York.
