STEWARTSTOWN – Richard D. Blevins, 85, of Stewartstown, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home.  He was the husband of the late Beulah L. (Smeltzer) Blevins.

Richard was born April 28, 1935 in Stewartstown and was the son of the late Sanders and Ruth (Jones) Blevins.

He graduated in 1953 from Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA.  Richard was a truck driver for McCrory’s for over 25 years before retiring in 1996.  He was a member of the Good Sheppard United Methodist Church in North Fort Myers, Florida.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army from July 1955 to June of 1957. 

Richard is survived by his son John Blevins of Stewartstown; his brother, Norman Blevins of North Fort Myers, FL; his sister, Kathleen King of Reading and several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.  He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Blevins, Jr., and his sister Nancy Weaver. 

A graveside service for Richard will begin at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 28, 2020 at Stewartstown Cemetery.  Officiating at the service will be Reverend Larry Parlett.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
