MOUNT WOLF- Richard E. "Hoss" Nace, 73 of Mount Wolf, PA passed away, Monday, August 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Eileen (Gerber) Nace whom he married on January 15, 1977.
Richard was born December 19, 1952, in York, PA and was the son of the late Leon D. and Gloria (Toomey) Nace.
He graduated in 1970 from Northeastern High School in Manchester, PA and later went on to work at Harley Davidson for 37 1/2 years. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) and the Northeastern Little League where he volunteered as an umpire and coach before eventually becoming the president, as well as serving as president for the York Haven Athletic Association. Richard was a former member of Mount Wolf Community Church in Mount Wolf, PA for 12 years and a member of Mt. Washington United Brethren Church in York, PA for six years.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his sons, Daniel Nace and his wife Catie and Brian Nace and his wife Samantha; six grandchildren; brother, Leon D. Nace, Jr.; and his sister, Cathy Musser.
A public viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. His burial will be private with his family at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
