Robert L. Rentzel

MOUNT WOLF – Robert L. Rentzel, 77, of Mount Wolf, passed away, Friday, May 6, 2022, at York Hospital.  He was the husband of Marie (Frantz) Rentzel.

Robert was born December 18, 1944, in York and was the son of the late Russell and Helen (Holler) Rentzel.

He graduated in 1962 from Northeastern High School in Manchester.  He was employed for 42 years with PPL at Brunner Island before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Steam-O-Rama, PA State Plowing, National and World Plowing Organization, Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association, and many other tractor organizations.  He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester.

In addition to his wife, Marie, Robert is survived by sons, Trever (Jodi), Troy (Lisa), Jason (Samantha), Justin (Carol) and Jared (Jade); ten grandchildren, Ashli (George), Cortni (Shaun), Kayli (Casey), Jesse, Levi, Kali, Savannah, Bryson, Brielle, and Blake; four great grandchildren, Maddox, Maelynn, Adley and Brynlee; his brother, Ned Rentzel and his sisters, Jann Lehman and Elizabeth Shearer.   Robert was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Madison and Mason.

A celebration of life service for Robert will begin at 6:30 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend John Bell.
