MOUNT WOLF – Rodney T. Myers, 84 of Mount Wolf, passed away, Monday, March 9, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital in York, PA.  He was the husband of Carol Alice (Fritts) Myers whom he married 56 years ago on November 16, 1969.

Rodney was born on March 7, 1942, in York, PA and was the son of the late Curvin Earl and Louise (Bailey) Myers.

He graduated from West York High School in West York, PA and later from Millersville University, York College and Shippensburg with his Masters.  He was employed as a Mathematics teacher for 32 years with Central York High School before retiring.  He was a member of the Starview Sportsmen’s Association in Mount Wolf, PA.

In addition to his wife, Rodney is survived by his son Todd and Anahit Myers of MD; his daughter, Michelle and Damon Merkel of Dover, PA; 8 grandchildren, Afina, Lilia, Keersten, Abby, Noah, Hannah, Andrew, and Kamron; one great grandson, Seth and one great granddaughter Amberlyn on the way, and his sister, Barbara Mull of Airville, PA.  He was preceded in death by his grandson, Peter James Merkel.

A graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Mount Rose Cemetery in York, PA.  Please meet at the entrance of the cemetery no later than 10:45 AM on Wednesday.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.  The York County Veterans Honor Guard will provide full military honors at the graveside service.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend Steven Livermore.
