Ronald E. Heindel

RED LION – Ronald E. Heindel, 74, of Red Lion, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York.  He was the husband of the late Jeanne Y. (Larson) Heindel who passed away October 15, 2012, and the companion of Linda Barry.

Ronald was born October 13, 1946, in York and was the son of the late Clair and Beatrice (Wallace) Heindel.

He graduated in 1964 from Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester.   He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He retired as a Superintendent for Hogg Construction in York and was previously employed by ECI Construction.  He was a life member of the Starview Sportsmen’s Association in Mount Wolf.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church in Starview.

Ronald is survived by his sons, Jeffry Heindel and his companion Angie of York and John Heindel and his wife Becky of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Madison, Kaitlyn and Drew; his brother, Rodney of Wellsboro, PA and his sisters, Barbara Keith of Starview and Rachel Rondinelli of Landsdale, PA.

A memorial service for Ronald will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Thursday at the funeral Home.  Following his service at the funeral home burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.  Military Honors will be provided by York County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
