Rose M. Eberly

YORK - Rose M. (Foster) Eberly, 70, of York, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at her home in York. She was the wife of Craig M. Eberly who she married 52 years ago on April 25, 1970.

Rose was born October 9, 1951, in York and was the daughter of the late William Foster and the late Agnes (Brackett) Dillow.

She attended William Penn High School in York. She was a care giver to her grandchildren and worked as a server at Ramona, Philly Café, and Round The Clock.   Rose enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family, and her dog, Tink.

In addition to her husband, Craig, Rose is survived by her daughter, Michelle Shultz, and her husband, Clint of York; her son, Craig M. Eberly, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Mount Wolf; five precious grandchildren, Andrew Yetter, Brett and Julianna Shultz, and Nolan and Maya Eberly, a niece, Amber Held, and her sister Beverly Kohler and her husband Barry of York. She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Smith.

Rose’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating at her service will be Reverend Ron Oelrich from Faith United Church of Christ.
