Ruth R. Bixler

NORTH YORK – Ruth R. (Emenhiser) Bixler, 95, of York, passed away, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at York Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Mervin H. Bixler who passed away September 8, 2006.

Mrs. Bixler was born June 22, 1927, in York and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rebecca (Fletcher) Emenheiser.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Bixler of Mount Wolf; granddaughter, Debbie Kitching and her husband Gregory, of Mount Wolf, and two great grandchildren, Stevie Kitching and Kyle Kitching.   She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey L. Bixler and her brother, Harold Emenheiser.  Mrs. Bixler is loved and will be missed dearly by her family and friends that survive her.

Mrs. Bixler’s graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in Hoover’s Cemetery in Starview, East Manchester Township.  Officiating will be Reverend Laura Bair-Baker.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
