YORK HAVEN – Ruth T. (Gruver) Brothers, 80, of York Haven, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, PA.  She was the wife and best friend of Calvin Brothers, Jr. whom she married 60 years ago on May 27, 1961.

 Mrs. Brothers was born March 17, 1941, in Lewisberry,PA and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Isabella (Erney) Gruver. 

She graduated in 1959 from New Cumberland High School in New Cumberland, PA.  

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brothers is survived by her daughter, Judith Speranza and her husband Philip of Etters, PA her son, Kevin Brothers of Leadville, CO; grandchildren, Rachel Speranza of Bethel, AK and Kyle Speranza of Lewisberry, PA; her brother Wilson Gruver of Phoenix, AZ and her sister-in-law Anita Dittenhafer of Dover, PA.  Mrs. Brothers was preceded in death by her sister Ardella Wiesner.

Ruth loved greatly and adored her 2 grandchildren and her dog Midnight.  

Funeral and burial services will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
