Samuel Rudisill Obituary

MANCHESTER - Samuel E. Rudisill, 69, of Manchester, passed away Friday, January 12, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. He was the loving companion of Lori Ann Arey. Sam was born December 13, 1948 in York Hospital and was the son of the late William and Regina (Fissel) Rudisill. He graduated from William Penn High School in 1966 and attended classes at York Academy of Arts under the direction of William A. Falkler. He also attended Maryland Institute College of Art. He was employed for 16 years with North Industrial Chemical as a warehouse manager. He played in various bands as a percussionist. Sam enjoyed nature, camping, fishing, hiking and swimming. In his younger years, Sam traveled extensively with his family throughout North America. He attended Faith United Church of Christ. "Life Was One Great Party" Sam is survived by his brother, David K. Rudisill and his wife, Cynthia; niece, Hillary; nephew Andrew and his pet Pit Bull Buzzy the III. A celebration of life service will begin at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Ron Oelrich from Faith United Church of Christ in York.
