Scott A. Rode

MANCHESTER – Scott A. Rode, 54, of Manchester, passed away, Monday, January 17, 2022, at York Hospital.  He was the husband of Amy L. (Lucas) Rode who he married 25 years ago on August 3, 1996.

Scott was born October 16, 1967, in York and was the son of Jesse and Connie (Rosenberger) Rode of Mount Wolf.

He graduated in 1986 from Northeastern High School in Manchester.  He was employed by Miller Electric Company in Mount Wolf for over 35 years.  He was a member of Harmony Grove Community Church where he served on the Board of Elders. He was also a member of Susquehanna Rod & Gun Club, York Riflemen, and Mount Wolf Fish & Game.  He was an Eagle Scout and an avid blood donor.

In addition to his wife, and parents, Scott is survived by his son, Jacob Rode of Manchester, his daughter, Megan Rode of Manchester and his sister, Teresa Fink and her husband, Vada of York.

A celebration of life service will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 21, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.  Officiating at the service will be Pastor Jim Crosley from Harmony Grove Community Church.
