Sewell A. Harris

MANCHESTER – Sewell Aden Harris, 72, of Manchester passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at UPMC Memorial in York.  He was the husband of Dianne (Reffner) Harris for 47 years.

Sewell was born November 28, 1948 in Altoona, PA and was the son of the late William and Charlotte (Claycomb) Harris.

He graduated in 1966 from Bellwood-Antis High School in Bellwood, PA.   He was employed by Footlocker and retired from Wolfgang Candy in York.  He was a former member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville, PA.  Sewell proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1971.

In addition to his wife Dianne, Sewell is survived by his sons, Bradley Harris and his wife Kim of Schwenksville, PA, and Travis Harris and his wife Amanda of Manchester; 4 grandchildren, Elliott Harris, Dillon Harris, Reed Harris and Parker Harris and his sisters, Eileen Harris of Chambersburg and Phyllis Brown of Folsom, CA.  Sewell was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Harris.

Services and burial for Sewell will be private.  Burial will be in Manchester Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
