MOUNT WOLF- Sharon Elizabeth (Collins) Ressler, 74, of Mount Wolf, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the wife of John Alan Ressler whom she married 47 years ago on June 17, 1978.
Sharon was born August 7, 1951, in West Chester, PA and was the daughter of the late James J. and Elizabeth T. (LeFevre) Collins.
She graduated in 1969 from High View Church Farm School in New Hampshire. Sharon had an in-home daycare while her children were young and worked many years as a secretary at Calvary Baptist Church in York, PA. She spent her more recent years of employment working alongside her husband at his business. Throughout her life, Sharon spent many years baking and decorating special occasion cakes. She loved supporting her grandkids at all their school and sport functions. She was their #1 fan.
In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her daughters, Christine Elizabeth Wzorek and her husband Joseph of Mount Wolf, and Julia Anna Craig and her husband Jared of Mount Wolf; six grandchildren, Levey Joseph Wzorek, Macey Christine Wzorek, Logan Hayden Craig, Aubrey Anna Craig, Sydney Elizabeth Wzorek, and Dawson James Craig; her brother, James Collins and his wife Dawn of Carlisle; her sisters, Doreen Collins of Harrisburg and Melissa Irvin and her husband Manuel of Lancaster; her sister-in-law, MaryAnne Heisey; her brother-in-law James and his wife Barb Ressler; as well as six nieces and four nephews.
Her viewing will be on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Avenue, York, PA 17408. Her funeral service will be at 11:30 AM, Saturday, September 13th at the church. Her graveside service will be on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, PA 17402. Please meet at the entrance to the cemetery no later than 9:45 AM. Officiating at her services will be her pastor, Jesse Loggans. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. of Mount Wolf, PA.
