ETTERS – Shirley Jean (Low) Garrison, 77, of Etters, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.  She is the wife of James W. Garrison whom she married 13 years ago on August 3, 2011.

Shirley was born October 6, 1947, in Beliot, Wisconsin and was the daughter of the late Donald and Viola (Baker) Low.

She attended high school in Huntingdon, PA.  She was employed as a welder by Bethlehem Steel for 25 years before retiring in 1999 and later from Durabond Pipe for 12 years before retiring in 2015.  She was a member of the James A. Danner V.F.W. Post # 537 in Etters, PA.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Debra Trutt and her husband Daniel of York Haven, PA and Barbara Seeger and her husband Jason of York Haven, PA, her step-daughters, Laura Beem and her husband Pat of Cumberland, MD Mary Bell and her husband Louis of Walkersville, MD and Frances Dermound of AZ; seven grandchildren; seven Step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and nine step-great grandchildren; her sisters, Marie Blanchard of Etters, PA, Donna Mitchell of Mapleton, PA, and Darlene Bumbaugh of Manchester, PA and her brothers. Roy Low and Myron Low.  Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Jones, Jr. her brother, Boyd Low and her step-daughter, Theresa Ann Garrison.

Her memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.  Her burial will be private.  Officiating at her service will be Pastor Michele Brandt.
