Shirley T. King
MOUNT WOLF – Shirley Temple (Lewis) King, 87 of Mount Wolf, passed away, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at her home in Mount Wolf. She was the wife of the late Leonard King and Wilbur Silk.
Mrs. King was born May 30, 1938, in Esty, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Asa and Lilly (Workman) Lewis.
She was employed by Country Meadows and Kelly Manor as a nursing assistant. She loved working in her garden with all her beautiful flowers.
Mrs. King is survived by her daughter, Pamela R. VanHyning and her husband LeMar, Jr. of Dover, PA; five grandchildren, David and his wife Tori, Michael and his wife Nicole, Rachel, LeMar, III, and Melissa and her husband Brad; eleven great grandchildren; and her sister, Wilma G. Stidom of WV. She was preceded in death by her son, Galen L. King, her sisters, Edna Lewis, Lucy Knaub, Lena Knaub, and Thelma Crabbs, and her brothers, Obie A. Lewis, Hubert Lewis, Calvin Lewis, and Ava Lewis.
Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Her visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Her burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
