Steven G. Witmer

MANCHESTER – Steven G. Witmer, 62, of Manchester, passed away, Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.  He was the companion of Barbara M. Knisley of Manchester.

Steven was born June 18, 1962, in York and was the son of Shirley A. (Beck) Witmer of Manchester, and the late Robert L. Witmer.

He graduated in 1980 from Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester.  He was employed for 44 years with James E. Craft in York Haven, PA.  He was a member of the Wago Club in Mount Wolf.

In addition to his girlfriend, Barbara, Steven is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Witmer of Dover, Amanda Witmer of East York, and Misty Bahn and her husband Eric of Gardners, PA; seven grandchildren, Shealyn, Hailey, Dylan, Jasmine, Alexis, Drake, and Devin; one great grandson, Knox; his brother, Ricky Lee Witmer of York Haven; and his sisters, Tammy Brenneman, and Heidie Ely both of Manchester. 

His viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  His service will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend Lee Manuel from Cassels Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Manchester.
