Susan E. Bixler

MOUNT WOLF – Susan E. (Kluka) Bixler, 77 of Mount Wolf, passed away, April 5, 2026, at her home in Mount Wolf, PA.  She was the wife of the late Jeffrey L. Bixler who passed away on October 20, 2014.

Susan was born on June 14, 1948, in Hammond, Louisianna and was the daughter of the late Steve and Betty (Darr) Kluka.

She graduated in 1966 from Dover Area High School in Dover, PA.  She was employed by York Hospital for over 20 years before retiring in 2013.  She volunteered for the York County SPCA and delivered meals on wheels for the Northeastern Senior Center in Mount Wolf, PA.  Susan was known as the "Most Loved Grandma" by her grandchildren.  She was devoted to caring for her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Debra Kitching and her husband Gregory of Mount Wolf; two grandchildren, Stevie and Kyle and his wife Chey, and her brother, John H. Kluka and his wife Peggy of Dover, PA.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steven Kluka, Jr., Robert Kluka and Thomas Kluka.

Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her viewing will be from 1;00 to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Her burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend Laura Baker.
