Terence L. Connors
YORK – Terence L. Connors, 68, of York, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at York Hospital surrounded by family. He was the husband of Patricia (Wise) Connors. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on October 15, 2023.
Terence was born September 23, 1955, in Japan and was the son of the late John and Loretta Mae (Hengst) Connors.
He graduated in 1973 from Northeastern High School in Manchester. He was a self-employed Contractor for Fed-EX. He was a member of Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493, and Christ Lutheran Church Starview, both of Mount Wolf.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, Terence is survived by his sons, Seth Connors, of Manchester, and Nathan Grove of York; his daughter, Adrienne Connors of Mount Wolf; one granddaughter, Kyndal Grove, and his sister, Susan Connors of York.
Terry was a beloved family member, great friend, musical brother and loved by scores of people near and far. He was a bassist, fiddle player, guitarist, and vocalist since the 1970’s in the Ray Duerr Band, Wheels, Reckless, Cheap Sneakers and more. Most recently, he was an incredible solo performer on the Central PA music scene. He was a craftsman and anchor to countless musicians and recording artists and, most importantly, treasured by family and friends. His unrivaled warmth, spirit, support, and quick wit will be forever missed. Rest easy, we love you and you will never be forgotten.
The funeral service for Terence will begin at 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. His viewings will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 29, and Thursday, November 30 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Thursday at the funeral home. His burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Springettsbury Township, York. Officiating at his service will be his pastor, Reverend Stephen Yambor from Christ Lutheran Church in (Starview) Mount Wolf.
